Personalized medicine designed for the patient’s specific needs
Functional Medicine/Functional Coaching
Functional Medicine is a collaboration between the patient and the practitioner. It is a system’s based medicine that looks at underlying cause of disease; in essence finding the root cause.
The patient and practitioner work together in finding the root cause. As a Functional medicine practitioner I listen to my patients story, look at the person as a whole and not just a set of symptoms. Functional Medicine is personalized medicine designed for the patient’s specific needs and we work together to design a plan for you to reach wellness.
As both a Functional Medicine Practitioner as well as Functional Medicine Health Coach, I incorporate lifestyle steps to help bridge from diagnosis to health and wellness. It is not always easy to make the lifestyle changes needed to feel better. I help you to identify your strengths and guide you in the lifestyle changes that will help you to achieve the goals you desire.
Functional Medicine Incorporates:
Patient Centered Care
We work together to look at your lifestyle, genetics and living environment. I meet you and your family where YOU are, listening to your story and striving to help you maintain health and wellness beyond just absence of disease.
Integrative Science-based approach
All of my approaches are based on scientific research. Together we’ll look at the options and determine the best path for YOUR wellness journey.
Best Medical Practice
Functional Medicine incorporates the best of both traditional Western Medicine along with Integrative or Alternative Medicine, creating a focus on prevention and getting at the root cause of your health concerns.
Why Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is personalized medicine that deals with root cause or events “upstream” instead of just treating symptoms. I seek to create a sustainable lifestyle by promoting hope, health and healing. This healing is for you both physically emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Without Change There Can Be No Butterflies
The Doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease”.
